Originally
from Pennsylvania, Don Spiro is an LA based freelance cinematographer
with several short films and videos to his credit. Having
worked professionally as both a camera assistant and lighting
technician in film and television since 1991, he is experienced
in a wide range of formats and styles. As a still photographer
he has collaborated on programs, posters and portraits for
the Velvet Hammer Burlesque troupe and Lucha Va Voom in
Los Angeles. His most recent feature as cinematographer
was on his girlfriend Augusta's documentary, "The Velvet
Hammer Burlesque."
Don is a member of IATSE International Cinematographer’s
Guild Local 600 (camera assistant), Electricians Local 728
(set electrician), and Associate member, Society of Operating
Cameramen.
